” I was very pleased to see how professionally Glenn runs the class and how focused he is on safety and range rules from the outset. This course is not for the beginner but for those who want to improve their conceal carry skills and learn techniques that will most likely be utilized if a real-life situation ever does occur. There was so much useful information packed into the course, it is a must for those shooters that want to improve their skills.” -MC, Roseville, CA
“The Close Quarter Engagements class brought real world scenarios that a regular CCW class just does not come close to accomplishing. It is great to have a next level class offered as opposed to just normal ccw primary or renewal qualification classes. It is a fact that most engagements will take place in an up close and very personal distance. This class addresses several scenarios giving real world situations that should be practiced and prepared for. This is the only class that fills that much needed gap. As a CCW holder over 10 years. I’ve had several instructors. You are the most knowledgeable. Your presentation, expertise and patience presented a great learning environment.” – S.S. – Sheridan
Prerequisite: Valid CCW Permit/Approval of Instructor
The Close Quarter Engagements (CQE) course is designed for the shooter who wants to learn skills on how to defend themselves when the threat is immediately upon them. The course focuses on conflict which takes place at 3 yards and in, up to physical contact with an assailant. Students will learn the skills to defend themselves at the critical distances where most engagements occur. In addition to learning how to defend themselves, students will learn different shooting positions as well as how to retain their weapon should an assailant grab their firearm. This course does involve physical exertion, stress induced shooting, critical thinking, and split-second decision making.
This advanced CCW course caters to realistic situations that the concealed carry population could face. The participation in these exercises sets the foundation for advanced survival training and provides the student with exercises that can be done at home to avoid losing these perishable skills.
