This course satisfies the 8 hour initial CCW requirements for El Dorado, Placer, Solano, Sutter, and Yuba Counties. It is recommended that you have already begun the process with your county of residence as far as application submittal and scheduled an in-person interview with the Sheriff's representative. Some counties place limits on their training certificate validity and your CCW must be issued within a certain time period after completion of this course; please check with your Sheriff's Office should you have any questions.

We will meet at 9AM at Nor Cal Gun Vault where we will focus on basic handgun safety, self-defense and deadly force laws and application and marksmanship training (9am-2pm). After completing the classroom portion, we will head to The Gun Range where we will engage in practical exercises and then perform the qualifying shoot (3p-5p).

Students will shoot at targets designed to enhance understanding of personal protection engagements as well as the marksmanship fundamentals taught by the NRA. Upon qualification, students will receive a course completion certificate for 16 hours of CCW training.
Packing list for this course:
Pen and notepad, along with all completed waiver forms (to be provided at a later date).
Each handgun you want to include on your CA CCW (up to three)
A minimum of 100 cartridges for each handgun

FIREARMS TRAINING CANCELLATION POLICY: NFI is California’s most trusted name in firearms instruction. We employ a strict student to instructor ratio and class registration and payment are how we schedule our staff. Full refunds will be given 14 days prior to the class start date. Within 14 days, a credit will be given for a class within one year. Forfeiture of training fees will occur if a student is absent from class without contact.
