Welcome to an incredible two part class filled with handgun safety, responsibility and fun! This is a two (half) day events in order to beat the heat! We will host the classroom time Friday night from 5 to 9pm and the range Saturday morning 9am to 1pm.
Students who complete this course will receive an NRA Basic Pistol Certificate of Training. This class is to prepare new shooters to receive their CCW Training Certificate or just become comfortable with their firearm. Age minimum: 13 years old.
NOTE: Residents of Shasta County and the City of Red Bluff can use this training as part of their hours to receive their CCW Training certificate, as their jurisdiction's requirements for CCW training are 12 hours compared to the 8 hours for Tehama County.
Friday evening: Welcome to the NRA Basic Pistol Course. This nationally recognized course is the standard from which all other handgun courses are built! The NRA Basic Pistol Course is taught to over 100,000 students a year across the United States. Students will learn pistol types, operation, maintenance, ammunition fundamentals, grip, stance, aiming, trigger control, breathing and follow through. This is classroom time only.
Saturday morning: Range Time. Students will also perform live fire exercises learning the basics of handling and shooting your firearm accurately. Although using your own firearm is highly recommended, we are happy to provide you with all you need to complete the training! Please let us know if you need to use a firearm for this class. Please bring firearms and 100 cartridges for your primary handgun and 50 cartridges for all others you wish to shoot.
Ammo Packages available during this course. Ammunition used during the course can be provided at $25 a box. Ca State law prohibits students leaving the range with this ammo. All full and unused boxes will be refunded on site. Ammo calibers available are 22LR, 22WMR, .380, .38 Spc, .40, 9MM, .45. Select the ammo which applies to you when registering for the course and it will be delivered to the student on the range where it can be paid for with cash or check. Please leave the requested caliber and number of boxes (50 cartridges in each) in the notes section. Each caliber required will be a box of cartridges provided for $25.

Cancellation Policy: Training fees include a 50% non-refundable deposit. Cancellations prior to the start of the class will be given a 50% refund of training fees, or a one-time reschedule of training within one year. Students who are absent from any portion of a class without notice will forfeit all training fees. Please contact your instructor as early as possible to cancel your class.
