Join Mike Ramsey, Senior Instructor for this “Step II Advanced Defensive Pistol Course.

***A Current CCW Permit is a Required Prerequisite for this Course***

The STEP II ADVANCED DEFENSIVE PISTOL COURSE is taught on the range.  It is a course for students who have a desire to employ the personal protection handgun from an outside the waistband hip holster. The drills are simple in nature and the set up can be achieved on any indoor or outdoor course that allows presentation from the holster. The 4-hour course is designed to be taught at a pace that is safe yet challenging.

THIS COURSE MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A CCW RENEWAL. THE COURSE ENDS WITH A QUALIFICATION. SENIOR INSTRUCTOR MUST KNOW EACH STUDENT’S COUNTY STANDARD TO QUALIFY THEM APPROPRIATELY.

The uniform for the STEP II ADVANCED DEFENSIVE PISTOL COURSE is range wear with the addition of an outside the waistband hip holster and a magazine carrier.  A double magazine carrier is preferred. The belt must be sturdy enough to handle the firearm and ammunition while presenting the firearm from the holster.

This class is taught at The Gun Range, 5-9PM.

Primary CCW Handgun

200 cartridges  – If you have multiple firearms on your permit, please bring ONLY your primary carry.

OWB or IWB (Outside or Inside Waistband Holster)

Very Sturdy Gun Belt

Magazine Carrier (double carrier preferred)

Eye and ear protection

 FIREARMS TRAINING CANCELLATION POLICY: Refunds may be requested  up to 14 days  prior to the date of class. (Student is responsible for contacting NFI via the contact app on this web site to obtain a date/time stamp on the request).  If the request within 14 calendar days of the date of class, a credit will be given to be used within one year of date of issue. Students who fail to show up for any date of training without notice will forfeit training fees for that date.
